  • It is where potential customers can learn more about you and your services. It is an important part of building your digital marketing strategy.
  • When you own your website, you own a strong marketing asset. It can showcase your work, direct people how to contact you, and bring in new leads.
  • It can also be the answer to these 7 questions for your marketing.
  • Not owning your website could end up hurting your search engine ranking if the owner is penalized by Google for something they’ve done on another website².

It’s integral to know a website will never be perfect. Here are three reasons to pay attention to your website:

  1. Technology is always changing; integration codes update, and new features add security and usability.
  2. As you refine your focus and services, your website content and images should too. This shows customers you care about giving them accurate information.

Regular changes invite search engines to visit your website more often, which could raise your search engine ranking.

Only 35% of new contractor businesses make it to year five. Part of this is due to lack of marketing (such as a strong website) and the inability to compete against other companies³. Having a reputable presence helps give your business longevity. Research also shows 6/10 customers expect brands to have a website4. if you don’t have a website, you are leaving a potential 60% of leads on the floor. And if your website hasn’t been updated or doesn’t have quality content, you could be missing out on even more leads.

A quality website is like the hub of your brand. It brings life to your business and strengthens your marketing. Just as a wheel doesn’t work as well when spokes are removed from the hub, the life of a business doesn’t work as well without a website. Building a quality website takes a lot of care and planning. You need to have a strong and responsive design and certain design elements to create a good customer experience, but this is only part of the equation. The content, from words to images, helps people know what you’re about and how you can help them. The third piece to a quality website is speed and functionality.
